![]() Every lexicographic resource within OWID⎯elexiko, Neologismenwörterbuch, Wortverbindungen online, Schulddiskurs im ersten Nachkriegsjahrzehnt⎯accomplishes this requirement with regard to data modelling and structuring. At the same time, fine-grained interconnectedness of all resources should be made possible. The goal of this granular data modelling is to allow flexible access of each individual lexicographic resource as well as access across diverse dictionary resources. Hence, the core of the project is the design of an innovative concept of data modelling and structuring. It is an explicit goal of OWID, not to present a random collection of unrelated reference works but to build a network of actually related lexicographic products. The Online-Wortschatz-Informationssystem Deutsch (OWID Online Vocabulary Information System German) of the Institut für Deutsche Sprache (IDS German Language Institute) in Mannheim is a lexicographic Internet portal for various electronic dictionary resources that are being compiled at the IDS. Le圎dit, thus, is a novel modular application with a service and delegation integration to morphological analyzers which can be configured at run-time. We also provide the details of DicJSON, a simple file format we propose for storing lexicons for the permanent data in Le圎dit. Using Le圎dit, multiple annotators can independently edit the lexicon to inspect, add and remove lemmas, or collapse multiple senses into one, and write sense-definitions with the help of templates. In this paper, we provide the details of Le圎dit, an open-source tool we created to manipulate the lexicon of Turkic languages. Having a consistent lexicon is crucial in every stage of computational linguistics. Turkic dictionaries are no different but with additional set of challenges, due to mainly the agglutinative nature of their morphologies. ![]() From the coverage of lemmas to the inclusion of semantic relationships among them, each dictionary has its own set of assumptions, which are often implicit and change as the dictionary evolves. Each dictionary reflects the peculiar methods used by its creators and maintainers. Making monolingual dictionary has a long tradition riddled with changing and often incoherent approaches. Finally, issues of usability, the progress of the project and its future perspectives will be considered. This is then followed by a brief account of the treatment of grammatical details. The development of a theoretically grounded procedure for lexicographic disambiguation is also described. The description of word meaning and use in elexiko will be presented in detail, with a particular focus on the treatment of collocations, ambiguity, vagueness, and the presentation of senses. elexiko will provide not only an improved quantity of lexical information, but also a new quality of information which will be explained and illustrated at different levels of the microstructure of the dictionary. First, a brief account of the design is given, followed by a demonstration of the methods and tools that are being employed to compile it. This article provides an introduction to elexiko, the first German hypertext dictionary to be compiled on a corpus basis, which is currently being developed at the Institut für Deutsche Sprache Mannheim (IDS).
